Advisor

Magda Manetas has been the advisor to the Student Government Association since 2004. As with many members of the TCNJ SGA, she was a member of her high school’s Student Council and an executive board member of the SGA at her alma mater, Georgetown University. Magda has a master’s degree in higher education administration from the University of Vermont and first arrived at TCNJ in 1995 as the Director of Residence Life.

In her role as the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs, Magda provides oversight to The Career Center, ROTC and Student Activities/Brower Student Center; coordinates the Parent and Family and Harcourt Scholarship programs and convenes the Behavioral Assessment and Response Team, who assist students in distress.

When not on campus, Magda loves to garden (though all the plants in her office tend to die); cook Greek food and read and, having worked at a number of other colleges and universities, she thanks her good fortune on a regular basis for the opportunity to work with TCNJ students. Magda, her husband Pete (AVP of Development at TCNJ), daughter Kate and son Peter live in Yardley, PA.
