Message From the President

Dear Friends:

Welcome to the new Student Government website!

During the coming months, please check this page frequently for updates, events, videos, photos, and opportunities.  I hope you will use this page, as well as the rest of the website, to stay informed of our work and give us your feedback. We value your ideas and input and we hope you will participate in the open discussion on how to improve our school and the student experience.

I am sure I don’t need to tell you that times are tough. The challenges that we face as students and citizens make the job of being servant leader more important than ever. I believe that I speak on behalf of the entire Student Government when I tell you that we are humbled that you have chosen us to lead and represent you. We are humbled with the responsibilities that lie with each of us.

Even in these times, I still believe that the community we have here is strong and we will continue to make it stronger. We will continue to use the heart of this institution as the guiding light for our future. We will continue to use our courage to do what is right

This government will continue to follow its never-ending goal to preserve student rights, maintain academic freedom and responsibility, improve the general welfare of the student body and continue its tradition of responsible self-governance. We will continue to improve our present and respect the traditions of our past, all while keeping an eye on the future.

These values have guided us thus far and we will continue to value these principles while I am your President. Let us continue to strive for greatness together and continue to build a brighter future step by step and hand in hand.
